Hi Everyone,

I hope you’ve enjoyed your start to the new school year and trust that you’ve begun to find your rhythm over the first couple of days!

I am writing today to enlist your support and participation in our shared effort to ensure that our schools afford us the best learning and working environments possible, by taking part in our online school climate survey. When students feel safe, supported, and respected, their sense of well-being and confidence increases, and along with it, their level of achievement.

If you are a school staff member, please respond from the perspective of your role. If you are a parent of a student in our system, we invite you to respond relative to the school your child attends. If you are a teacher, we ask that you engage your class (grades 4 to 12) in responding to the survey. You may even find that a valuable dialogue ensues.

The results of this survey will help to inform school-based and board-level planning for this year, as we continue to build on our collective investment, and grow our capacity to respond effectively to the needs of each of our students.

The survey can be accessed by a link from the board’s homepage at www.lkdsb.net.

Please add your voice.

Yours in great places to learn,

Dave
