As outlined in our class newsletter, the grade 2/3’s homework will consist of reading on a nightly basis (10-15 minutes), word study (study 5 words a week for dictation on Friday), as well as any unfinished work he/she may have not completed during class time. 

Please check planners each night where your son/daughter will have written down their homework assignment.  Please initial that you have seen the planner and that your son/daughter has completed their homework.   Please remember to also initial their Home Reading Program book which will indicate that the reading homework was completed as well.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Reminder - some students still have not brought a set of headphones for the computer lab.  These can be purchased right at the Dollarstore.  Please have your child bring them to school sometime this week.  Thanks!

Welcome back to the 2009-2010 school year! 

Our first week in the grade 2/3 class was very busy!  We spent time learning all of our classmate’s names, learned new rules and routines, completed a Back to School booklet, and have already begun recount writing!

Please don’t forget to read our class newsletters that will be sent home this week.  They outline important information about our class rules, routines, homework, planners, subjects taught by other teachers, home communication folders, home reading program, and much more!
