Students need to be selecting an appropriate (just right) novel by next Tuesday for an upcoming novel study.

DRA’s will begin this week.  Students will be busy doing independent activities while Ms. Klein listens to oral reading.

We continue to learn about Canada prior to confederation in History and in Language we have moved from Recount to Narrative.

All About Me presentations will be done in class on Wednesday

Final copy of recounts are due Thursday

We already have completed 2 weeks of the 2009-2010 school year.  Staff and students are settling in to daily routines nicely and students in Room 12 are living up to Grade 7 expectations.  It looks like it is going to be a fantastic year!

Rough copy of narrative story must be completed by Monday.  This will allow us to conference and make improvements before completing the final draft.  Final drafts are due Thursday, November 1st.

Social Studies quiz on Ancient Greece (what we have studied so far) will be on Thursday, Nov. 1st.

Scholastic book orders (November and Holiday) are due November 9th.
