Attention all Falcons! Do you wish you had just an extra few minutes to finish up that last minute Writing assignment? Are you looking to get a little bit of direction and help with a Math problem assigned for homework? The Falcon Homework Club will begin on December 7th and 8th and is offered to all TAPS students needing assistance in homework completion. In order to participate, you must have a permission form signed and returned to Mr. McFadden before next week. You can find more information and permission forms on Mr. McFadden’s door or on the front bulletin board. There are during-school and after-school sessions still open. Get that extra help to get your homework done. Join the Falcon Homework Club today! Attention Falcons! Some of you will receive a yellow envelope on Friday, Oct. 14th from your classroom teacher. Inside is your term 1 Individual Education Plan (IEP) which outlines the work you will be completing for term 1 (until the middle of February). Take some time to review these important papers with your parents. Your parents should then sign the consultation form included in the package, put the consultation form back in the envelope, and return it to the school with you before October 28th. I will have a reward for each student who returns their envelope with the signed form waiting for you when you return it. Just leave the envelopes on my desk in the white basket and I will find you to give you your reward. Thank you, Falcons! Mr. M. Did you know that October is Learning Disabilities Awareness month? Check out the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario link on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ldaChatham for more updates throughout October. The senior boys soccer team competed in the South Kent Conference tournament yesterday afternoon at TDHS. The boys came out strong against Ridgetown with a 4-1 victory and strong play. They continued their dominance in the second game against Merlin, coming away with a 7-1 win. This win put Tilbury in the finals against Harwich Raleigh. The Falcons competed at their highest level all season and carried the play through much of the game. The Wildcats netted an early first half goal and were forced to play strong defense in order to keep the Falcon boys from the net. In the end, the Falcons fell short with a 2-0 defeat and brought home the Finalist banner. Mr. McFadden would like to congratulate the team on their commitment, perseverance, and overwhelming improvement over the course of the short soccer season. You all made Tilbury proud and Mr. McFadden feels privileged to have coached on the Falcon sideline. Congratulations on a strong season, boys. Game 1 - Thurs., Sep. 22nd, 2011 - 4:00-5:30 PM - Harwich Raleigh v. TAPS @ TDHS Game 2 - Thurs., Sep. 29th, 2011 - 3:45-5:00 PM - Wheatley v.
