The buses use the street directly in front of the school in the morning and afternoon for dropping off and picking up the students. The street must remain clear for the buses. If it is necessary to pick up your child, please park on the other side of Mable Street and review with your child how to cross the street safely, or in our new parking lot for parents on the corner of Fort and Mable.

If someone other than a parent is picking up a child for any reason, please inform the school by phone or note. These measures are necessary for the protection of your child.

Unknown or unauthorized persons appearing at the school office requesting to see or interview a student, or take a student out of school for some reason, will not be allowed to do so without advance approval or consent of the parent or legal guardian.

Parents waiting for their children at dismissal are requested to meet them in the main foyer. JK/K parents may proceed to the classroom after 3:30 PM.

All others - Please do not go directly to classrooms – wait in the foyer or have your child paged by the office.

Leaving School Property

Once students have arrived at school, they are not allowed to leave the property without permission from the school office. Students need to remain on the property during breaks.

Parents must send a note if a child needs to leave early for an appointment, and state clearly the expectation you have (i.e. Child is to be excused and sent home; child to be met at the school office by parent or other designated persons, etc.)

Students at the office without authorization to leave school may expect their request to be denied.
