Yard Supervision

Our schoolyard is supervised at 9:00 a.m. and during both Nutrition Breaks. There is no supervision before 9:00 a.m. and supervision is minimal after school dismissal. The only after school supervision will be the supervision of buses and watching students as they leave the schoolyard. Students should time their school arrival accordingly and are expected to proceed directly home after school dismissal. This helps to prevent after hour problems from occurring.

Junior Kindergarten/Sr. Kindergarten students are to be brought to the Kindergarten Playground after 9:00 a.m. If they walk to school, they are to be picked up by their parents at 3:30 p.m. Students who ride buses will leave when the bell rings at 3:30. These students will be paired with an older student who rides the same bus. Parents are asked to wait in the main foyer until dismissal.

On the yard and in the school, students are expected to refrain from any rough or dangerous play. Students are expected to follow the Tribes agreements and school rules. Students are expected to remain in their designated play areas. Playground equipment is not to be used in the winter months. Please respect the gardens, bushes, & gazebo in the courtyard.

Breakfast Program / Snacks

Students are able to eat a nutritious breakfast at school once a signed consent form is completed. Beginning at 8:45 a.m. students may enter the side gym door. This program is available to all students. With long bus rides and busy mornings at home, children may miss breakfast. It is well documented that students will do better in school after a nutritious breakfast.

We are always appreciative of donations to help fund the breakfast program, and we are always looking for volunteers. Please contact the school for more information about donations or volunteering. The school also offers vegetables for snacks at second break free of charge.
